Going Green (Not just for St.Patrick's Day)

This week we had St.Patrick's Day, World Recycling Day, World Poetry Day, International Happiness Day, World Forest Day and World Water Day!

It has been a week to be happy (make others happy), read poetry and refocus on resources such as biomass and water. A report this week showed that within the next 25 years water shortages could begin in the UK. Using life cycle thinking (LCT) or life cycle assessment (LCA) can demonstrate areas within a process to save water or switch to a more sustainable resource.

Along with this two of our PhD students (Paul and Heidi) along with Scientific and Commercial Board member Sam McCloskey attended the Energy Institute of Northern Ireland's 58th Annual Dinner in the Europa Hotel Belfast!
